Major Medical Associations Feud Over Diabetes Guidelines
Blood sugar issues, especially as it relates to diabetes, result in some of the most persistent health problems we have in this country and in other developed countries, too. It doesn’t help when medical authorities don’t agree on what a healthy blood sugar level is. When I visit the nursing home where my mother is, the two most common problems that I see are diabetes and dementia. Many times, I have seen residents there eating white bread, pasta, and other processed carbs, including desserts, even while the nurse comes over and inject insulin in them AT the dinner table. Crazy!
