“I use the different techniques I’ve learned from John Ray on almost every client that I have.” – Lori

The Ray of Light Training Class Schedule is up now!

Why train with Ray of Light Massage Training?
– Over a thousand therapists have taken one or more ROLMT trainings, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic. The reason our trainings consistently fill up early is because these techniques work – and because the classes are fun, well-organized, interesting, and fulfilling. I’ve had many LMTs e-mail me, message me, or call me months after taking these classes, telling me how much they use the techniques with their clients and the success they’re having.

What is Direct-Indirect Technique?
– Direct-Indirect Technique™ (DIT) is a blend of the best myo-fascial, neuro-muscular, cranial-sacral, and hybrid techniques into one highly effective toolbox. The tools you learn and use in these classes range from very deep to very gentle. Therapists who have taken these classes tell us they use these techniques every single day in their practices. You will learn how to use the techniques in a systematic, fun way to give your clients the relief they need. You will learn how to work deep without hurting yourself.

What is Cranial-Sacral Therapy?
– Cranial-Sacral Therapy is a gentle therapeutic technique that can be used successfully on a wide variety of clients with different conditions, including many who ordinarily would be contraindicated for massage. With CST, you release restrictions in the bones and fascial tissue in the cranium and along the spine, as well as other parts of the body, to allow a free flow of cerebrospinal fluid. This encourages healthier function in the central nervous system (CNS) and throughout the entire body.

What is Muscle Balancing and Joint Stabilization?
– This class gives you the tools to help you and your clients strengthen and balance the muscles, tendons, and fascia around the joints. Most clients have both tight AND weak muscles and fascia. Both tightness and weakness are often involved with their pain. Loosening the tight muscles is only part of the solution. Strong, healthy muscles and fascia provide more stability around the joints. The result is less chance of injury, quicker recovery times, and more natural, unrestricted movement.

What is Medical Massage – Chronic Conditions – Ethical Situations – Insurance?
– This is a hands-on class that enables you to help clients with acute physical conditions, as well as clients with chronic conditions or special needs, while also empowering you to deal decisively with ethical situations in your massage business. You will also learn everything you need to know about taking insurance, exactly how to do it, when it works well and when it doesn’t.

What is Muscle Anatomy and Assessment Skills?
– This class gives you a fun, hands-on refresher of the major muscles and muscle groups that massage therapists work on: what the muscles do, what happens when they work overtime, how to assess when they’re tight before your client even gets on the table. The goal is to make it quicker and easier to see what’s going on with your client and communicate that clearly to them. The results: more effective massage sessions and more repeat clients. We can all benefit from an anatomy refresher!
