I’m constantly preaching to my clients and my students to get up and move – daily – whatever you like to do. Joints were made to move. And that’s one thing we just don’t do enough of in our culture. We have an epidemic of inactivity! And it causes a lot of physical problems. (Job security for massage therapists, I guess 🙂 A new study from the University of Cambridge concluded that inactivity can be even more harmful than obesity. The study looked at over 300,000 people over 12 years. While the researchers said that ideally we would work toward both increasing activity and reducing obesity, their findings showed that skinny inactive people tend to have more health problems than active overweight people. Very interesting. I think it’s time for a walk! Shiver… It’s cold, but it sure is pretty outside.
