Astrocytes, Star of the Glial Show
The brain is so amazing and complex. Who designed this thing? 🙂 We learn so much about the brain every day. Yet we’re still just babes in the woods in terms of really understanding everything that is going on in there. This article looks at the some of the research on “glial” cells, especially “astrocytes”. These are not objects in outer space. They’re right inside your head. Mine, too, hopefully. These cells appear to have many important jobs in keeping our brains healthy. They may also provide the key to understand how to treat Alzheimer’s someday. I know that the Upledger Institute has a CST class about working with the glial cells. I haven’t taken it yet, but it looks fascinating.
