None of Us Have Any Idea What Trigger Points Really Are
It is true that no one really knows what causes trigger points and how they form. I am convinced it has a lot to do with the intercellular communication characteristics of fascia and the formation of fascial adhesions. However, there is no evidence that that theory or any other is true. What we know for sure is that clients often have tender spots that refer pain or other sensation to tissue in seemingly unconnected areas. And we know that with the right bodywork techniques, trigger points can be diminished or eliminated. We get deep into this in the DIT classes. This is an interesting article.
