Office Inspection Surprise
I’m very grateful for my students! I’ll tell you why. On Friday, my office was inspected. Brian from the Department of Health came in, and he was friendly and professional as always. He inspected the usual things – license, sanitation, bathrooms, etc. Everything passed with flying colors. Yay! But…
After he handed me my copy of the report and started walking toward the door, he stopped and said, “You know, you may never hear this from anyone else, but I thought I’d mention it to you.” I was unsure of what he was going to say, but I listened attentively.
He continued, “We get a lot of great comments about your classes. In fact, over the last few years we’ve had several therapists tell us they’d rather pay the late fee for license renewal and take one of your classes than take another class that would allow them to renew on time without a late fee. That says a lot about your classes.”
I thanked Brian for taking the time to tell me that, and he went on to his way to his next appointment. It’s wonderful to get good feedback about the Ray of Light Training classes, but I had no idea that therapists were willing to pay late fees (pre-covid, of course) just to take them.
The good news is that most of the ROLMT Online Courses are a series of short videos from my actual classes, focusing on techniques and Tools You Can Actually Use in your massage sessions. The therapist and client feedback over the years has been awesome!
Many therapists have already taken advantage of our heavily discounted bundles of 18-CEU online courses for license renewal and upgrade to MMT or MTI. The discount will continue as long as the Department of Health continues to allow us to use home study classes for that.
If you’ve already completed one or more of the online course bundles, that is wonderful! I hope you have received as much benefit as the many therapists who have given us feedback.
Yes, I am grateful for my students! And so much more. They say that gratitude is one of the most powerful ways to stay mentally and emotionally healthy during challenging times. What are you grateful for these days? Let me know.
