Assessment – Maximize the Value of Your Session
Effective Assessment of our clients is vital for our business, because clients are more comfortable when we clearly know what we’re doing, they relax more easily, and they want to come back AND refer other clients. Assessment depends on Knowing the Muscles and what they do in the body, so that we can communicate confidently with clients and treat the conditions they have efficiently within the time they are with us.

To Maximize the Value of the Client Session, we will practice various types of assessment skills available to massage therapists, including visual, active range of motion, passive range of motion, muscle resistance, and other tests. We’ll also discuss which types of assessment techniques need to be referred out to other health practitioners.
We will practice using assessment skills to determine which muscles or other structures may be involved in a client’s condition, focusing on assessment tools for the Foot and Ankle, the Knee, the Hip, the Trunk & Spine, the Neck and Head, the Shoulder, and the Forearm and Wrist.
“I liked that we put the discussion into action. I think it was a great way to get our minds and body on track.” ~ Jane
