We know that several research studies have shown that massage helps to reduce heart rate and blood pressure. Very cool! What’s also cool is that there is research showing that gratitude can significantly help people with heart failure. Really.
So, even though Thanksgiving is over, we can keep the attitude of gratitude going – and help our hearts and minds and the rest of us too.
Better yet, go get a good massage. Then it’s easy to feel gratitude. And get a double dose of good health in the process.
Lead author of the study, Paul J. Mills, PhD, professor of family medicine and public health at the University of California, San Diego, says,
“We found that more gratitude in these patients was associated with better mood, better sleep, less fatigue and lower levels of inflammatory biomarkers related to cardiac health.”
Is that good or good?!
