Wonderful Muscle Anatomy and Assessment Class
We had a wonderful group for the ROLMT Muscle Anatomy and Assessment class this weekend. Everyone braved the rains and floods from all over Arkansas (and Springfield, MO) to come in. There were instructors from three massage schools taking the class. This was a little different from the DIT and CST technique classes I usually teach. We did an intensive refresh on the muscles and joints and practiced several types of assessment on each other, with a little treatment added to confirm what we assessed. There was a spirited muscle-man contest, too, with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. All about making it easier to fine-tune our massages to our clients’ needs, enhancing our communications skills with them, and making our bodywork practices as successful as we want them to be. Yay! It was great to hang out with these wonderful kindred spirits for a couple of days. More than half were in previous ROLMT classes.
