You May Live Longer By Severely Restricting Calories, Scientists Say

This is an interesting study that looks at how eating less might extend your life. And all the ramifications of that, and side effects. However, it is clear that most people in our culture eat way too much, way more than they need. It seems like the better question is: What is the difference in quality of life a person has when they eat a little less then they typically do? How much less disease? How much more freedom of movement, less dementia, more ease in the aging process? In India, there is a philosophy that you should only eat to the point where your stomach is about 2/3 full. It seems like a good idea to me.
