Carl Reiner, the famous comedy writer, actor, and director (The Dick Van Dyke show and many others), is 95, and he is still very active. He was asked how he stays healthy. He said, “Same thing I’ve been doing for 60 years. When I was 20-something, I fell down a flight of stairs and hurt my back. I went to a therapist, who said don’t get out of bed until you do certain stretches, and I’ve been doing them ever since. I guess I’m the original yogi.” Similarly, I do stretches every day given to me by a PT at the Texas Back Institute in 1995 for my back injury. If it works, why stop?!
