You Don’t Have To Go No-Carb
This short news report from NPR describes a way of eating that is very similar to how I’ve eaten over the past few decades. It explains why I don’t eat bread until the end of a meal when I eat out (I don’t eat bread much at all at home). Plus, usually by the end of the meal, I’ve eaten the good protein, fat, and good veggie carbs, and I’m satisfied and not hungry for bread anyway. They also discuss why slow-digesting carbs can be beneficial. After many years of eating this way, I find that I’m not attracted to the pastries and pastas and such. So it’s much easier to pass on them.
